I think Blakecosmos, Echo Oscar, and Schwarzenstein ALL did. It was REALLY nice to put some faces and personalities to the usernames, and they’re all “high voltage live wires” let me tell you!

Well, the Gizar Guys Get Together is over, and I must say, I’ve never had three and a half days of more dense, deep, or enjoyable conversation before. Thanks to Blakecosmos, Scarmoge, Schwarzenstein, Dr. Walter B., and Echo Oscar for coming down and making it a very memorable weekend!

Luckily the pilots who supported us are of the finest in the world, otherwise I wouldn’t be here. Only one was in a scary part of the world in daunting terrain. The other 2 were training related.

I’ve been in 3 helicopter crashes. Granted all where in various platforms based off the CH-47 Chinook. This crashed Eurocopter H135 looks very similar to our (USA’s) Eurocopter UH-72 Lakota. I’ve heard good things about this aircraft, it has gained a lot of traction as a search and rescue bird in various US LEO agencies and the National Guard.…[Read more]

Ok I admit I’m so ill informed, husband saw a lady at the airport of Catania Sicily yesterday who actually has a passport with the “nationality” of United Antarctica.
So of course I Google it lol, it was a program associate with Smithsonian WhEeeeeee…….
