If data is an infinite or unlimited resource, how can one expect to manage it using a closed system paradigm?

You can’t manage it using a closed system; you need a multidimensional cache. This might mean that sufficiently vast amounts of data in the cache could become self-organizing (autonomous) and thereafter possibly sentient. I think the Gnostics understood this when they wrote about the Aeons. To build such a multidimensional cache might require the layering of particular elements having 2 or more isomers in order to generate different energy states (or cavities). kind of like a super-efficient Orgone Box.
