    • My handwriting was deteriorated long before the computer age

      • My handwriting is pretty poor too. I used to struggle to read my father’s writing when I was a child and complained about it…. all these years later, when I compare our writing I see mine is much more illegible! My excuse could be that I am left handed…. the truth is I abandoned the writing style we were taught (cursive) a long time ago as unworkable for lefties and created my own.
        I think the big missing factors for me (and perhaps most people) are CARE and ATTENTION given to the task. I am thinking of the Japanese calligraphy art where the paint brush is only put to paper when the mind is still and ready.
