I wonder if something else is being “covered over” in this very public collapsing of tunnels etc.?

Yes this sudden apparent “transparency” on top secret facilities is a little suspicious.
Notwithstanding a deep enmity towards communism per se, the fact that the Norks are “rebranding” themselves says to me that their sorcerers have seen something coming and a hold-out position as “Stalinist Hermit Kingdom” will put them in jeopardy with others who are more powerful than groups of Terran democracies. They’ll denuclearize and get a bit of ready cash from the Merican taxpayers, but this isn’t really their prime motivation. I suggest it’s fear of some bigger player who knows the game backwards, forwards and sideways.
What appears to be the cover up in the collapsing of the tunnels of the underground tunnels that finally collapsed at North Korea’s Punggye-ri nuclear facility is that it has essentially derailed, and destabilized the region. The Chinese are furious at how the collapse has de-railed its hope to guide Kim Jong-un into a favorable position for itself, and to help guide the negotiations in the upcoming talks with the American’s position due to begin in about one months time. This is complicated business people, but the Trumpster has found a way to separate the Norks from the Chinese. And, I would betcha a dime to a doughnut there is a 2nd way around China’s ‘so-called’ President for Life.

Dana, you are absolutely correct. A very astute observation to NOT underestimate the Chinese, OR the Russians. Sorry for the late Reply, but I’ve been busy. I understand my analysis could be wrong but consider this: the Norks and Chinese are not natural allies. The Norks have a more friendly attitude toward the Ruskies, historically speaking. So, to shorten this to less than 15,000 words let’s assume one primary goal, which is the Russians AND the Trumpster want to obstruct China from gaining superiority over all of Southeast Asian. Now, if Russia could build a cheap rail line down the Korean Penisula, and develop a sea port in order to have unfettered access to the South China Sea it would be a trade route the Chinese could not obstruct. So, how does Trump win over Kim Jong-Un to make the DEAL? Well, just dangle the promise of immense wealth in front of Kim Jong-Un. Then build-up his ego by praising him for any recent acts of kindness and generosity. The sure and certain sign that Kim Jong-Un’s greed has overcome any sense of caution would be when he ‘balks’ at further negotiations in the hope of gaining even more wealth and power. This is how the Trumpster can separate the Norks from the Chinese.
We shall see, what we read in the news headlines is next to useless.
