G’Day folks, recently one of our members “echo oscar” travelled to Australia. He arrived in Sydney after a 15 hour flight from LA on February 26th, then took a short flight to a regional town called Wagga and stayed with another member “uncle jed”. We have two of our members who live in our nations capitol Canberra, so the plan was to meet up over the weekend of the 2nd and 3rd of March. I travelled to Canberra on Friday the 1st, then echo Oscar and uncle jed were going to drive to Canberra on the Saturday. Here is a photo of the group. Starting on the right hand side of the photo and going anticlockwise there is me with the black tee shirt with yellow car emblem then TimH, Catou is at the head of the table, then uncle jed and then echo Oscar. You can imagine the chat, you put 5 gizaers in one room for two days, WELL IT WAS A HOOT.Click on the photo for a larger view and notice the prawn (shrimp) shells on the table, and that was only the entrée.

Dang. You all went to Wagga Wagga. I meant to go there when I was in Sydney last year as I had a “pen pal” from there over 50 years ago (who lived on a sheep station who the heck knows where… letters were sent from Wagga) and, as a result, have always loved Australia.
Glad you all got together!!!!! The picture makes you all seem, well, REAL! LOL.
Meanwhile, I WILL be back. The country is simply amazing and the Aussies are the best! Cheers, you all.

I think I may be one of the youngest people here… not that it’s a bad thing, I’m just saying… I’m blind to age as is, and I have not slept enough this week. I will take my leave now.
