French Connection equals Corsican mafia equals OAS equals Nazis. Just started on my first coffee for the day.

I seem to have read somewhere, maybe in your book on JFK, or Heinrich Kruger’s book on the heroin trade, that some of the personnel involved in planning and boots on the ground were common to both. I didn’t think the OAS were quite the spent force implied in Forsyth’s novel.

Just finished Day Of The Jackal by Frederick Forsyth, excellent thriller about the potential assassination of Charles de Gaulle, probably everyone has read it except me. Interesting that the action takes place in August 1963, 3 months before Kennedy’s assassination.
-
There IS a connection, as French studies of both assassinations, the attempt on DeGaulle, and the murder of JFK, have links to the OAS, and from the OAS to the Nazis.

Totally unrelated Joseph… Is there a possibility that the Nazi Internationals had a hand in the French Connection Heroin smuggling that started up in France, without googling yet, I think that Sicilians were involved and it started just after WW2 (I think… sorry if mistaken.. Havent coffe’d up yet..)

You will be missed, Freefall. Hopefully we’ll see you back sometime soon. Marxist invective and all – whatever that’s supposed to mean. But what does a dummy like me know about class struggle?

My friend who sold me the Barracuda had a 1971 Plymouth Fury, straight from the American embassy guy who owned it. Great cars!

Storm in a teacup bro, you haven’t missed much. Someone can’t tell the difference between private and public, that’s all. Pick your gloves back up, you might need them.

@tommivh Hey Tommi, just wanted to let you know I’ve also been having some issues with you-know-who. Don’t worry about that person and just know that you have friends on this website.
Cheers, Tim-
Likewise from me too Tommi 😉

Nah, not so much a storm in a teacup but an object lesson in NLP tactics; tell a sob story, infer a threat to a common milieu, and then assume a specious moral authority to assert conformity. Classic & Lol !

Yep you got that right Enrico. I’ve owned the Barracuda since July last year, but it’s only in the last 2 weeks that I’m satisfied with the way she’s running. Big Chrysler car show in 2 weeks at Albury NSW. Can’t wait!

1969 Plymouth Barracuda, running the killer 340, 650 spread-bore Holley, 2 1/2″ stainless steel exhaust. Li’l Beastie is my pride and joy! Jeff has a ’68 Charger but I think he’s waiting on on a period-correct radiator. Still.
