Your last post JP re Three Gorges dam. The CCP suggesting the same wall is elastic is nonsense . The steel Rio which clearly is faulty is elastic NOT the concrete matrix. The steel cages are bending beyond limits and are moving the wall mass with it. Failure will follow. Also it’s now unfixable . The corruption in civil construction in the 90s was just unbelievable apparently according to my now dead ex father-in-law who was a dam engineer supervisor who was on OS Asian AusGovt projects in the 80s & 90s .

  This is my thinking: it is bound to fail. I read somewhere, I forget where, that the block sections of the dam are not even anchored in the bedrock! Simply unbelievable!
