Dr. Farrell recommended a book titled:
    The Analogue Revolution:
Communication Technology 1901-1914 by Simon Webb
It was $5.61 a few days ago.
    Now it is now $34.95

    That’s their signal.
    Price it off the market.

    If, it doesn’t work?
    Take it off the market.

I’ve written about this “Amazon” trend of:
trying to price “certain” books out of reach.
    If not literally, out-of-reach.

Another of the flattering Chines traits,
    of China Joe’s America.
This one is known as “Lingchi”:
    slow process, the lingering death;
also known as, death by a thousand cuts.

    They’re Despicable
    to say the least.

    • Lower prices available on Abebooks. Never get books from amz, unless it is by somebody who regretfully decided to publish with that platform’s own label, “createspace”.

        • Abebooks is always my first choice. I only use Amazon if I really want a Kindle book. For everything else, I avoid Amazon as much as possible.

        • Try Alibris.

            • … recommendation of BlakeC in last chat … Hamiltonbook.com (a remainder house) 6.95 + Caesar’s rendering. Enjoy!

            • … something even more insidious Robert … our cyber-data is used against us on a wide variety of online purchases. For example, when one goes online to book a hotel room one’s previous data about online purchases is brought to bear. You and I will NOT see the same prices for rooms given what our data says about our estimated income level and what we previously were willing to pay for a hotel room. Unfortunately, the same holds true for book prices on some sites as well.

                • More insidious indeed.
Especially considering there is no “true” market price; as there is no price discovery.
It is data; and its your data,
that is used against your best interests.
                  [thanks also, for the hamiltonbook.com,
                  Cosmos tip]

                  • Wow… good tip about different prices shown to different people online!! I had absolutely no clue that could be going on. Amazing what you can learn on this site!
