Good Morning from the Stalag, formerly known as Australia.
Vaccine “passports” are the new Yellow stars/ Pink triangles/ or insert your choice symbol of segregation and discrimination and scapegoating to those who refuse the “device”.. Australia, Poor fellow my country, is sinking to new and foul lows never witnessed in this country. This new “uber” colonialism is now in turbo speed and will happily create a system of apartheid to those it deems unworthy. Of course the good old carrot and stick approach is deployed here..This makes me weep..
“Rather than just asking Australians to get a COVID-19 vaccine, governments will start treating the vaccinated differently to the unvaccinated in an effort to make being part of the first cohort much more attractive.

The vaccinated will have more freedoms. It might mean more freedom to travel, more freedom to get together with loved ones, or even to go to football matches and concerts.

The Prime Minister argues it is a commonsense approach — that those who pose less of a risk to others be allowed to undertake riskier behaviour. ( like going to the pub, seeing a concert, sports, visiting family) …
But it is also a carrot-and-stick approach: More freedoms for the vaccinated are the carrot, and more restrictions for the unvaccinated are the stick.”
The article itself has horrendous graphics with peoples head surrounded by a colored “halo” either red or green, and with a tick mark for GOOD and a X mark for bad.. How juvenile..
Additionally, this is how the NAZI’s snuck in their Hygiene Laws aimed at segregating and vilifying those who they deemed unworthy.. all under the auspice of “Health Laws”… HELLth laws..
“President of the NSW Council for Civil Liberties, Pauline Wright, said it was pretty clear cut: Australia’s powerful health and biosecurity laws gave governments the right to do this sort of thing.

“At both state level and federal level, it is legal for the government to impose restrictions on people in times of health emergency,” she said.

“So if a declaration is made, that there is a health emergency, then health orders are able to be declared.

“And we as citizens have to comply with that.”

    Comply? Nope.. Not me..

    • … Hmmmmm. the government says you may have more freedoms. Doesn’t sound much like freedom. A little known set of alternative lyrics for the Men at Work song Down Under:
Do you come from the Gulag down under?
Where the people suffer and the government plunders
Can’t you hear, can’t you hear the hobnailed jackboots?
You better run, you better take cover

        • Yes, they better change the lyrics now.. plus all the other ones with such similar songs..There was a popular song back in the day, about 40 tears ago, so same vintage as the men at work hit.. called Great Southern Land, by Icehouse.
Standing at the limit of an endless ocean
Stranded like a runaway lost at sea
City on a rainy day down in the harbor
Watching as the gray clouds shadow the bay
Looking everywhere ’cause I had to find you
This is not the way that I remember it here
Anyone will tell you it’s a prisoner island
Hidden in the summer for a million years

          Great Southern Land
          Burned you black

So you look into the land, it will tell you a story
Story about a journey ended long ago
Listen to the motion of the wind in the mountains
Maybe you can hear them talking like I do
They’re gonna betray you, they’re gonna forget you
Are you gonna let them take you over that way?

          Great Southern Land
          Great Southern Land
          You walk alone
          Like a primitive man
          And they make it work
          With sticks and bones
          See their hungry eyes
          It’s a hungry home

          I hear the sound
          Of the strangers’ voices
          I see their hungry eyes
          Their hungry eyes
          Great Southern Land
          Great Southern Land
          They burned you black
          Black against the ground

Standing at the limit of an endless ocean
Stranded like a runaway lost at sea
City on a rainy day down in the harbor
Watching as the gray clouds shadow the bay
Looking everywhere, I had to find you
This is not the way that I remember it here
Anyone will tell you it’s a prisoner island
Hidden in the summer for a million years

          Great Southern Land
          In the sleeping sun
          You walk alone
          With the ghost of time
          Well, they burned you black
          Black against the ground
          And they make it work
          With rocks and sand

          I hear the sound
          Of the strangers’ voices
          I see their hungry eyes
          Their hungry eyes
          Great Southern Land
          Great Southern Land
          You walk alone
          Like a primitive man
          You walk alone
          With the ghost of time
          And they burned you black
          Yeah, they burned you black
          Great Southern Land

          Great Southern Land
          Great Southern Land
          Great Southern Land ”

Gone.. Not so great and continuing the prisoner Island meme..
Forgive my melancholy, Ihave to write about this because It’s just overwhelming to see the people roll over and comply with a HELLth dictatorship. Rat and hate on those that have a different opinion, exclude and berate friends and neighbours. We have seen this before, in other parts of the world all through history. We even learned that history in our schools! But now, when it’s happening right in front of our eyes.. No one can see? only a handful.. and the controlled opposition here is rife, it’s like our society has long been divided, just under the surface, a bubbling of hatred and non acceptance for those who do not comply with the psychological and behavioural manipulation. This country is in the grip of a vast mental illness and a full and diabolical possession of it’s very soul.. What happened to all the “larakin” Aussies? God help us.

            • … NICE Ady! … no need to apologize for your melancholy … I would like to think that all of us beyond a certain age are having a similar melancholic experience. BlakeC remarked in the last vid-chat that he and Schwarzenstein had recently discovered that they were simultaneously considering the same materials at the same time. You and I, it turns out, were experiencing the same “Feeling of What’s Happening”. Yesterday I felt the urge to pull out my copy of The Complete Woodcuts of Albrecht Dürer (available in paper from Dover). Interestingly enough I ended up for quite some time, contemplating
Melencolia I. If ever there was a piece of art worthy of attention at this time … and speaking of Alchemy …
All of this neither here nor there of course (and no I am not reading The Sermons of John Calvin, talk about piling on myself if I were) 🙂 for anyone not having the experience of melancholy at this time … Most of all thanks for prompting me to pull out and spin the vinyl of Primitive Man.

          • Mate you are posting a whole load of sh**, you are giving people here the absolute wrong idea about what’s going on down here. I live two hours north of Sydney and covid doesn’t exist here, so lighten up my friend and stop posting c**p

              • I grew up in Sydney, My 85 year old parents are in Sydney, alone. I am in Darwin. I can’t get there to see them. I must disagree politely, things are not ok here where I am and there is a very strong undercurrent of something very nasty here in general society. I am lamenting the facts as I see them. It’s not crap. Cheers A

                • Oh and BTW Downunder ET, my post is not about C*vid! It’s about the visible and noticeable change in our society, the new laws and regulations that have been inundated on the population, It’s got nothing to do with so called C*vid! If you read what I wrote, you’d see that it has nothing to do with it, it’s the way this whole totalitarianism is rolling out, and how it’s affecting society in general.yes, and where I live it’s also non existent, for the time being, until they decide it is and shut us down again.. Cheers again A

                    • The difference between NT and NSW is night and day. They decided to put Darwin under a complete surveillance state, probably as it is the entry point from China/Asia, and as it is much less populated, so they had immediate control. Additionally, there are many more Originals in Darwin who are not capable of fighting this totalitarianism- they have been under the thumb since the British designated it as an indentured/prison colony.

I am an American and I love Australia. It makes me sick to watch from here. I have friends in Darwin and in Sydney and I pray for all of them… and both of you and your families.

                        • Thanks for that Justawhoaman, It’s obvious here for me, as a long term resident of my city of over 2 decades, I’ve seen the changes come thick and fast. Darwin is part of the so called Smart Cities, and also a Resilient city, with all of it’s totalitarian connotations and features. This has been gradually rolled out over the past 8-10 years, by Local, Territory and Federal governments. When I am pointing these things out, I’m not trying to give anyone the wrong impression of where i am because I’m seeing it in my face as someone with boots on the ground. Additionally, China has the 99 year Lease on our PORT here, and also the so called international/ national so called quarantine ( dual use!) facility called the Centre for national Resilience ” is here too! I’m not in any way alarmist, but when it’s coming at you at 160mph, well.. it’s not going to vanish.

                        • Thanks to Ady and DownunderET, I am learning of the different restrictions by state (province, sorry). I live in the USSA and observe wide differences from state to state, but I had not transferred that observation to other countries. What a global social experiment.

                        • Agreed. Nobody I know, except hubby, is even remotely interested in seeking the truth. I’m on the internet every possible moment seeking information regarding health, immunity, the origins of the thing, etc. It bugs me that we can’t voice our opinions or fears without the same narrative being drummed over and over again. It bugs me that the ‘authorities’ don’t have alternate solutions, nor advice. They’ve even stopped the good hygiene ads. We are locked down where I live, and only essential shops are open, not that I’m in the mood to shop. Thankfully, I am able to work from home and my husband is an ‘essential’ worker. My concern is that our employers might decide to mandate the thing after lockdown and we know that we will never get jabbed, so where will the $$$ come from? These are real worries. Nobody knows the legal implications of mandatory jabs for work, but if I am hearing Scomo correctly, I suspect he will bend. And DownunderET I live 2.5 hours from Sydney too.

                        • My history of Australia is appalling as all I remember from what was taught in world history is England sent their social misfits there to live with the natives. Seems like a social engineer’s perfect laboratory. And here we are…
