@jamesfee Gday James how are you?
Just wondering how the engine in the Mustang is coming along? It’s been a few months since we last spoke. I went to a Mustang show here in Canberra recently. Remind me – you have a 67 fastback? I don’t know my Mustangs as well as my Chevs but I do notice your grill doesn’t have the pony or the fog-lamps. Is that a particular year or a customized grill? I have a buddy who has owned a few Mustangs over the years but I thought I’d ask you first.
I’m still in the market for an American muscle car, or sports car ie Corvette, just waiting for the estate to be finalized. Shouldn’t be long now.
Hope all is well,
Ciao Tim

Hi Tim,
Doing fine here, though digging out of a freak March snowstorm. I have my car up on jackstands trying to pull the motor when the weather breaks – its a smallblock Ford stroker (347 cid) with what I believe to be a bad rod bearing. The car is actually a 1966 Shelby Mustang (GT-350) which gave it a slightly different grill treatment than the standard Mustangs. There is a fender badge on the driver’s side of the grill and the center emblem has been removed.
Enjoy whatever you get! It really doesn’t matter. There’s an amazing quality to driving one of the older performance vehicles and it certainly isn’t for everyone. There are few creature comforts and they are loud and brutally fast .
Good luck on that!

A 66 Shelby Mustang. Wow, I didn’t realize. Good luck with the bad rod bearing.
