DJ’s interviews with Warner were excellent. DJ did not interrupt, allowing Me. Warner to complete his answers, which were intelligent, insightful. Another posted that she felt creepy by Mr. Warner. I respect her opinion, but think Mr. Warner is thoughtful, highly intelligent, and informative.

I found it interesting that at the time of his death in a motorcycle accident Lawrence was serving in the army as a private, having left his past and reenlisting as such. Not relevant to your post (excellent, as usual), but nevertheless that was my bubble-up thought. Don’t know why. Anyhow, thanks for the post.

In the olden days I enjoyed the occasional debates between Vidal and Wm. F. Buckley. Usually antagonistic, I usually learned something and admired the intellect of both as well their respect for the use of respectful language in their exchanges. Almost non-existent in today’s crop of screaming f-b—- dropping crowd.

I recall the railway box car full of counterfeit one dollar bills discovered a few months ago, as commented on this site by Dr. Farrell. Never heard from any source any follow up of testing for contamination. Otherwise, why so much of the most exchanged paper denomination? Would seem to warrant testing for contamination.
