Beautiful music. In the manner of Solomon controlling lesser spirits I use the musical resonances of works such as PAL as a means to banish the demon of “junk” music that is forced on to me in most public places. Assuming authority and inserting a musical image from antiquity into my modern life might actually be an analogical magic moving from…[Read more]

I too often think of such music in this fashion, as banning the demons of mediocrity, the demons of “simplicity” and “modernity” and “originality”… so-called modern music, if it survives at all, will survive as a curiosity, to be listened to in academic courses as examples of “what people used to hear”. It will never possess the timelessness of…[Read more]

Antarctica (lyrics)
Men Without HatsAntarctica — Antarctica
Antarctica — Antarctica
Ice age is here, right in your town
Antarctica, look what you’ve done
And I, I feel like I’ve cheated your scheme
And I, I feel like you really know what I mean
Nightfall’s heartbeat, the street’s in a mess
On reflection, the beach is endless
And I, I feel…[Read more] -

I’ve seen The Cure twice; at their first tour of Australia in the early 80s, and then at their final tour of Australia 20 (?) years later…I think allusions to Mithras is a bit of a stretch, especially since Twyman is such a drongo…. you may recall that in the book “Clock Shavings” Twyman describes a seance with Jesus. Unfortunately Jesus…[Read more]

Yes, but what if the video is superficially worthy and also inept (ie, a Walter Bosley) ? Are those videos exempt from deletion ? 🙂

Will this help me make my own golem ? Or if I was criminally inclined I could break in to a museum containing sarcophagi and scrape up some Ancient Egyptian DNA and reincarnate someone cool…

the way I’m looking at this (today) is that any high ranking Mason should be, at least, a competent occultist…and if RH was similarly au fait with resurrection rituals and frank esoterica, would it not make some sense that, as they are hurtling towards their deaths in the doomed aeroplane, both men would “psychically connect” to each other ?…[Read more]

That’s such an intriguing notion .. I would think ALL 33 degree masons would be competent occultists (knowing that one can never become a 33er unless invited) So what IS the difference between a 32 degree and a 33rd) .. I think that’s the answer.. Food for thought for sure ..

Interesting line to pursue… though I suspect that nominally having a “degree” rarely coincides with the type of abilities you suggest

Prince and Picknett suggest that RH was on board with the D of K in that fatal flying accident: if both died at approximately the same time then might any ritual in a properly const!tuted Lodge be a means of contacting RH’s disembodied consciousness ? Dead Past Masters and presumably Past Grand Masters are summoned/invited by the bretheren to…[Read more]

Baz.. Whoa!! … now that IS interesting thought .. I’m at a place where ALL cards are on the table .. you just have to have the intuition .. wisdom and sense to turf the “jokers” out ..
