Thanks everyone for the well-wishes/prayers &c. This stuff, whatever it is, is very very nasty and I don’t think I’ve ever slept so much in one week and accomplished so little. I feel like I may be on the other side of the worst of it, for the hard cough has finally broken, but I am dog tired and weak.

For persistent dry cough, essential oil of oregano is excellent: a couple of drops in a glass of water, then gargle. In case of catarrh, add a couple of drops of essential oil of mint. PS when engaging in intellectual work placing a little mint oil on cotton etc. near the work place does wonders.

DEFINITELY .. Well “something” has changed since April the first .. I dont know anyone that has slept well .. In fact I know more people that have barely slept at all .. And the nights are so dang long .. it’s palpable ..
Yep! Most definitely! I normally sleep very deep and long but in the last week or so I’ve been waking up many many times in the night, checking the clock, convinced that it should be earlier than what it reads. As far as I’m concerned .. “some thing” was either turned off or turned on around the 1st of April .. Some kind of time dilation .. maybe ?.. The End!! ………
I just realised that I wrote that I was convinced “it should be earlier” … I meant to say that when I wake up I’m convinced that it should be *later* than what it really. So in effect, the night is long and arduous, and it takes time to get back into that deep sleep again.
I hope it’s not The End. I can’t imagine our world as we know ending.
What do you think may have been turned off or on? Any significance to it being Easter Sunday in the Western world?
