So if McCain is the Hydra, who’s playing Hercules and Iolaus? 😉

“Eurystheus sent Heracles to slay the Hydra, which Hera had raised just to slay Heracles. Upon reaching the swamp near Lake Lerna, where the Hydra dwelt, Heracles covered his mouth and nose with a cloth to protect himself from the poisonous fumes. He shot flaming arrows into the Hydra’s lair, the spring of Amymone, a deep cave from which it…[Read more]

“The Hydra had many parallels in ancient Near Eastern religions. In particular, Sumerian, Babylonian, and Assyrian mythology celebrated the deeds of the war and hunting god Ninurta, whom the Angrim credited with slaying 11 monsters on an expedition to the mountains, including a seven-headed serpent (possibly identical with the Mushmahhu) and…[Read more]

“The oldest extant Hydra narrative appears in Hesiod’s Theogony, while the oldest images of the monster are found on a pair of bronze fibulae dating to c. 700 BCE. In both these sources, the main motifs of the Hydra myth are already present: a multi-headed serpent that is slain by Heracles and Iolaus…. the monster’s capacity to regenerate lost…[Read more]

Today I read yet another story about US Senator John McCain (this time he was making some counter proposal to Trump’s latest statements on the US war on Afghanistan) and I got the idea that McCain was like the Greek mythical Hydra slain by Hercules. So then I took a look at the Hydra myth. Most interesting. Some snippets…[Read more]

Curiouser and curiouser – see second paragraph quoted below from an RT story:
“In a joint ceremony with a local honor guard, Chinese troops last week opened their new naval base in Djibouti, a tiny nation in East Africa which already leases land to several facilities of foreign militaries. The Chinese troops are stationed right next to the…[Read more] -

Since the Team Saudi spat seems to be aligned with some particular US and Israeli interests (getting their hands on world’s largest, but Iran-Qatar, owned/controlled gas field: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/South_Pars/North_Dome_Gas-Condensate_field), perhaps this spat can be viewed as part of the ongoing economic war of one US deep state…[Read more]

The next move in the Team Saudi vs Qatari spat: UAE puts EU banks with Qatari investors on informal blacklist. The banks are: Credit Suisse, Barclays and Deutsche Bank. Oh my… looks more and more to be about financial and economic war.

Kissinger evokes Thatcher to ask and answer geopolitical questions. Hm. What does he seek to channel from the time of Thatcher?
http://www.voltairenet.org/article197404.html-
Well Mrs. T. accelerated the process of eliminating actual making of things of Britain to replace it with the financial “industry” – a process that the British oligarchies are rather timidly seeking ways to reverse as the population slips into poverty and conflict…

Envy perhaps that he will never be given a ti tle of nobility by the Queen??

Perhaps in his advanced years he would like his life’s work ennobled?

I fully volunteer to carry the sword and whack him around the shoulders.. until his head falls off.. Arise Sir Kissinger..

If I remember correctly.. nah..IM 1979 baby. . My births heralded the Thatchabeast .. He probably wants a return to UK being driven by US interests.. Back in the good ol’ days where Pinochet was heralded as a friend to England.. (probably for saving the Nazi’s hiding out in Argentina when the Mossad turned up in Bariloche…)

One journalist’s experience of learning about being American. It’s written as personal “coming of age” type realization. Interesting to me mostly because of the explanation of how she grew up in the USA, which is vividly written and quite compelling.

Tried to post this comment on North Korea but it was too long. Here it is on the Forum:
https://legacy.gizadeathstar.com/forum/articles-and-links/all-about-north-korea-dprk/#p102-
This long article raises lots of questions and rightly goes into the issue of the extreme violence of the Japanese occupation. Which raises the question of so many cultural affinities between Japan and Korea which most people in those countries are reluctant to discuss because of the old problem of “losing face”. Anyway this type of article…[Read more]

Has anyone else had a comment posted here seem to be accepted and then simply disappear? I posted something, clicked “comment”, the screen refreshed, my screen then showed my comment. I came back about 20 minutes later and the comment was gone. It is nowhere to be found. Anyone else have this experience?

Lots and lots and lots of times.. I thought it was a moderator somewhere not liking what I was saying.. 🙂
The worst one I had disappear was a huge post I wrote that took over 4 hours of research.. I sighed.. heroically.. and went and made more coffee..I didnt write the comment again..-
