After reading his book .. it seems ALL of ‘this’ crew (from The Eagles to Joni Mitchell ..The Doors to Frank Zappa) .. were connected in some way .. A closer look at their album covers reveals a darker picture .. And suddenly we discover that Admiral Byrd’s cousin…[Read more]-
Thanks for the reminder to read Dave Mc Gowan’s book, Freefall. I hold no illusions as to the manipulation of the american ‘counter culture’ but because Ive not been drawn to the NYC specific scene, indeed it’s always given me the creeps (Warhol, L Reed, et al), Ive perhaps dismissed their deeper entanglements.

Could be a coincidence. I confess Ive never considered Lou Reed to have any deeper knowledge than his addictions allowed. Candy and Bluebirds are both drug references, but perhaps there’s more to the story?-

I agree that in order to speak on a subject the facts should be confirmed and stats are a great starting point. As far as the grid those areas are on FHS watch list and regarded as a possible target on their list. However that doesn’t mean every fire is an intentional act.
