As they say, money talks, and while health-related reports are easy to manipulate, trade figures are relatively concrete. We’ll have to see how long it takes for China to re-open and how serious supply chain interruptions turn out to be. It is still too early to make more than a few informed hypotheses about the “virus affair”, and the only sure…[Read more]

Soviet spies in wartime Japan: a fascinating Russian TV drama about the still somewhat mysterious Richard Sorge.

    • Video unavailable – When I clicked on it this came up, and then this, “This video contains content from Starmedia, who has blocked it from display on this website.”

I suppose we’re on some sort of blacklist….dangit!

Telecoms conveniently provide coverage maps for most places, to entice people to sign up, though of course omitting vital details such as radiation strength. This may shed light on “mysterious” outbreaks of whatever disease. There is some empirical evidence for this in the WuFlu outbreaks in Northern Italy, in the sense that the quarantined or…[Read more]

Just looking at it. I did not have a device with me suitable for taking a direct photo of the Sun. At first the “second sun” was too bright to look at for more than second or two, but afterwards it gradually disappeared. Anyway it was similar to some published photos of this phenomenon, said to be due to an unusual refraction/reflection of light…[Read more]

  • This afternoon I observed the fascinating phenomenon of the “double Sun” over Rome, with the second “Sun”, about 20° to the side of the actual Sun, maintaining considerable brilliance before the light faded into the clouds. And no, I don’t think it was either Niburu or the Virgin Mary. Though probably not a good omen for the political…[Read more]

    • Wow! Can you say how you observed it? Using any special equipment etc??? Thank you!

  • Given the obsession, if not monomania, with the Middle East among the so-called “Western Elites” and the real agendas and processes that may be involved in this geopolitical meddling, the subjects discussed in this book could be quite pertinent.

    • Reminds me of Steve Quayle and his ‘work’ regarding the ‘djinn’. They could be real or imagined. No doubt some interest exists regarding the subject, but as usual it is very ‘lite’ in terms of any reality based ‘physical’ evidence of their existence. Is that not the way it always goes whenever any attempt is made to quantify anything spiritual?…[Read more]

      • Oh, to be clear about the so-called ‘djinn’, I do not go ‘out and about’ places looking for trouble. No harm in staying clear of weird stuff, and it’s the reason I do not explore ‘spider-holes’.

The current high numbers in Italy have appeared because of the precautionary measure by the public health system of applying swipes to 8,000 people connected with the first handful of cases. Most of the persons currently shown to be (or said to be) positive have no symptoms. This has brought the country a “bad press”, but it is a lesser evil at present.

    • Well I would think knowing that an area has an outbreak is really important evne if the majority of people aren’t showing symptoms. Although shocking, I think that identifying how far the disease has spread is really important since the asymptomatic phase of this disease is so long.

  • Reference to the article on 5g and the virus. A quick check of coverage in Italy shows antennas in at least 2 of the small towns where victims lived in the provinces of Lodi (Brembo which is near Codogno Hospital) and Bergamo (Nembro). Telecoms will not be amused.

    • For those in the US, if you want to see what these bastids have planned for 5G in your area, do a search for city-data.com, 5G towers & your city.

      • Amateur drone operators, perhaps even the pros, are so eager to have 5G towers in their area that one could say they are ‘drooling’ over the prospects of having their drones perform extended, well planned flight plans. None of them even bring up the possible side affects 5G radiation might cause.

    Any relation with Asian phenotypes?

    • Yes they probably are Asian students that returned back from the holidays. Although it may appear that this thing whatever it is may favor Iranians and Italians, possibly anyone. Yesterday the Swiss stopped two trains entering from Italy, so we may be just starting to see the beginning of an interesting set of events. From what I’ve seen so far…[Read more]

    • There was an early assumption made that the corona virus may be more virulent to Asians. At the time, only a few Europeans had been affected by the disease and only experienced mild symptoms. With Iran and Italy, this seems to have been largely dismissed and even if Asians were preferentially affected by the disease, the Asian population in the US…[Read more]

Interesting reference, I had never come across Gabb.

    • Thanks for posting this link Supernumerary. Like Dana, I hadn’t run across Gabb. I wish I could say that the issue raised in this piece by Gabb is new and surprising … but alas … see Victor Davis Hanson and John Heath’s – Who Killed Homer? (1998). Unfortunately what is
