I always find these occasions, usually dismissed as “merely formal”, to be full of little nuggets. The sight of the (presumably) outgoing Prime Minister playing lady-in-waiting to the Queen is especially hilarious. (Yes, I know that is what “protocol” demands…).

To me, “merely formal” implies ritual. I can’t elaborate, but my intuition tells me that Trump’s State Visit, May’s resignation and Brexit are all components of a major ritual, an inflection point.

Still have one hooked up to the stereo & AAPL tv for streaming.
Very convenient not being tethered to a tethered computer.
Stereo allows for listening while working outside.No “regularly scheduled programming.” 😉
