Read my comment below. I am wondering what write off this represents… and asked the question about whether there was such a thing as government insurance?

  • justawhoaman posted a new activity comment 8 years ago

It isn’t like they couldn’t have flown them out despite the maintenance or other excuse. Puzzling unless you think it is possible that they were left there to be destroyed, in need of replacement. Government insured? Is there such a thing as government insurance?

    • You can BET there is some kind of insurance involved especially for hangar infrastructure etc. But will we ever hear about it? This is a question for C.A. Fitts.

    From J. Stones site:

Ok, so here’s the story. Supposedly 22 F-22’s were left behind at the base and were destroyed by the hurricane. That’s a 7.5 billion loss.…[Read more]

I’m thinking now, more a he than a she. “Bruno” seems an appropriate name.

    • When I attribute personhood to a piece of machinery, like a car etc, I don’t usually think of a specific sex. I more think of it as just being a “dear friend.” Or in some cases an “old friend.” 🙂

Dunno about names. Maybe she is a he. Dunno yet. First words will probably be the 549 and some Buxtehude (a little spitfire of a fugue of his I used to play).

Ok a quick update folks. The organ as you know has arrived, and the physical installation is complete today, though the house is an utter disaster. I’ll post pics in a moment on a tidbit (they’re a little blurry I’m afraid as I don’t use my camera that much). But again, a MAJOR thank you to all you donors who made it happen. Thank you so MUCH!…[Read more]

    • I have to be honest but I don’t like the Gigi Young episodes, she has already mentioned past lives and being blue-skinned in a previous life. Not a fan of this.

      • I’m not particularly impressed with her stuff either, too new-agey and incoherent for me, at least what I have listened to anyway.

There IS a connection, as French studies of both assassinations, the attempt on DeGaulle, and the murder of JFK, have links to the OAS, and from the OAS to the Nazis.

I seem to have read somewhere, maybe in your book on JFK, or Heinrich Kruger’s book on the heroin trade, that some of the personnel involved in planning and boots on the ground were common to both. I didn’t think the OAS were quite the spent force implied in Forsyth’s novel.

    • Totally unrelated Joseph… Is there a possibility that the Nazi Internationals had a hand in the French Connection Heroin smuggling that started up in France, without googling yet, I think that Sicilians were involved and it started just after WW2 (I think… sorry if mistaken.. Havent coffe’d up yet..)

Just finished Day Of The Jackal by Frederick Forsyth, excellent thriller about the potential assassination of Charles de Gaulle, probably everyone has read it except me. Interesting that the action takes place in August 1963, 3 months before Kennedy’s assassination.

Essays Concerning Human Understanding by John Locke seems like a good book to read.

    • An Essay Concerning Humane Understanding … This may seem somewhat picayune but words do make a difference. Interestingly enough I have found over the years that a difference in what one thinks to be the title of the work often times effects one’s interpretation of the text. … and yes, you are correct Gabe. This work (especially Chapter II),…[Read more]

    • Italy’s main financial newspaper “Sole 24 Ore”, while firmly in the bankster camp, has actually published an article about the long list of banker deaths. Very low key approach, but it’s still a step forward.

    • My comment may be at a tangent to the article, but I was especially interested in what was stated the first paragraph, concerning the ‘traditional cultures of the UK’. The North of England, where I happen live, is almost entirely excluded from the London-centric ambit of the BBC. Oh for the return of the Danelaw!
