Pine Gap immediately came to mind. You don’t fly over it but it is very visible when flying into Alice Springs. Oddly, we sat next to a contractor who was flying in because he works there. Interesting conversation, for sure. Definitely the link back to the US… This video is incredibly clever, very funny, and also (given Pine Gap) clearly…[Read more]

So the presence of this “communications” base may be the reason why Stray Yah is weak, i.e. the political class is made to toe the line more than elsewhere.
-
Exactly, Dana. What is truly amazing, however, is how incredibly ignorant the general Stray Yah population is regarding Pine Gap. We queried a guy who had spent quite a bit of time in their military, knew about Pine Gap, but did not have any idea as to what was really going on there. Just a US base as far as he was concerned. There are so many…[Read more]

Great point justa .. It’s about as odd as you can get down here .. The Land of Odd .. We have NO say in ANYTHING and are FORCED to take part in “their” sh!t politics .. Well, it’s three months now since little Shiloh adopted me, and she says I’m doing much better about interpreting her whines, so she has moved on to barking and teaching me what each one means. This is a good sign that I’m settling in, she says, because she hadn’t barked for the first month and a half in order not to confuse me. She also reports…[Read more]

As a person with WAY too many dogs, and a pack of 5 that live in my house (3 are Great Pyrenees), I will vouch for some dogs trying their very best to “talk”. One of the breeds I have is Schipperke, a little Belgian breed used on barges for alarm purposes and rat patrol, is characteristically known for their over the top brains and two of mine…[Read more]

I’ve had Beauregard a year now. He was a 5 month old rescue when I got him. If I’m reading he settles down nicely for half an hr. He gives me a short mmn ending on a higher note. That means ‘are you done?’ I can say, give me 5 min and he’ll ‘sigh’ his ok. Then in about 10, he’ll say mmmm in an up and down sing song tone. That means, ‘are you…[Read more]

If she’s starting barking now that’s a good sign. She’s started trusting you and knows that it’s safe for her to be herself 🙂 How lovely 🙂

Hello Fellow Gizas, how are you all doing? <3
I'm looking for a good book about Zoroastrian, I mean their history, tradition, myth, culture, major event etc type, any recommendation?
Cheers!!!
-
say hello to Jesus 🙂
-
start with these 🙂
https://archive.org/details/TheTeachingsOfZoroasterByS.A.Kapadia1913
this one is good as it lists a lot of great works in the first pages.. (Im looking for them too :)) https://archive.org/details/in.ernet.dli.2015.22660
Sorry Eve I can only search for them in english or french…xx-

hahahah Thank you Kahlypso, I’m not sure if Jesus could help me find out if there are any connection between Zoroastrian’s war and the War between Devas and Asura in India epic. I know too little about Zoroastrian’s myth, but I suspect some kind of connection.

🙂 Ahhh when you start comparative studies of religion… you start to see…. that they’re all just copying each other…. with some cults having more fervent ergo correct fanatics than others…

I suspect their relation more than just copy each other, my suspicious that they may actually had physical high tech war with each other, I could be wrong, but I just can’t get over with the word Asura and Astria, if we remove Zoro from Zoroastrian, and drop N, we have Astria, I just can’t ignore the possibilities it was actually the Zoro had war…[Read more]

And then there is Ahura Mazda, can this be just merely a coincident?

OMG I found another line: Quote: During the Achaemenid Empire (c. 550 – 330 BCE) the prophet, Zoroaster/Zarathustra is not mentioned in the inscriptions of the Achaemenid kings while Ahura Mazda is mentioned in opposition with the daeva. There are no solid links between the teachings of Zoroaster and the Achaemenid kings besides the emphasis on m…[Read more]

Quote: Daeva, the Iranian language term, should not be confused with the devas of Indian religions. While the word for the Vedic spirits and the word for the Zoroastrian entities are etymologically related, their function and thematic development is altogether different. The once-widespread notion that the radically different functions of Iranian…[Read more]

I have to admit.. my Hinduism is pretty weak.. I need to learn Sanskrit.. From the top of my head.. If I remember correctly.. In the Avesta’s book of Yashts, verse 13.87 of the Farvardin Yasht as well as the Middle Persian Denkard at 3.35 mention that Mazda, God, was worshipped by the Aryans from the time of the first Aryan king Gaya Maretan
The opening paragraphs of the Avesta’s Farvardin Yasht and the Yasht’s verse 13.150 also tell us that Gaya Maretan and the other…[Read more] -

today I learned.. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Makara_(Hindu_mythology) Means Sea Dragon….This Varuna guy was Enki..

Now all I need is the in dept study of the relationship between Ahura Mazda and the Daeva; as well as Varuna and Deva.

Well, the BBC reported erroneously that the ‘oldest’ human skeleton found in the Americas was an exhibit. There is evidence of a much older human presence in South America, but I suspect that a DNA anyalysis of these remains may have shown affinities with Australian aboriginal haplogroups (see: https://youtu.be/r6IrMjfbh6E). In the blog posts and the members chat we have at times discussed the vulnerability of online systems. In the UK in the last 2 months, I have been notified by Ticketmaster, Superdrug and Carphonewarehouse that they have suffered a data breach and that my personal details have been stolen.

That’s fantastic news!

Just wait until they bring out Quantum computers into the public domain.. We’ll have to download all our info into our DNA to keep it safe…. and even that isnt safe anymore.. Anyone seen who 21 and Me’s PDG is married to.. and who her brother in law is…??
