Well, at 6:45PM, the beast is slain! The book is DONE, but now the real work begins of trying to format and edit the beast. I’m moderately pleased with the results… I hope readers will be.

Today, SGTReport channel was terminated on YouTube! I don’t know about you, but for me its hard to find trusted sources in this day of disinformation. I don’t always necessarily agree with SGT on every topic, but I’ve found them to have a solid batting average. Luckily, they were wise and established backups on the alternative platforms.

The link below is the video that got their channel shutdown.

Thank you, Dana.
I had included a better description in my original post, but the mods didn’t like the URL and rejected it (the URL can be interpreted as a bad word, haha). Apologies for not including that pertinent information.

His hand technique looks very unusual to me. It seems almost as if he isn’t even using his thumbs. I understand in the early Baroque and before that thumbs weren’t used when playing keyboard, but wasn’t it precisely J.S. and C.P.E. Bach who pioneered and codified the use of all ten digits on keys? (At least to me, the handful of JSB pieces I…[Read more]

That’s one theory… another is that they seldom used heels (given some of the pedal boards were short), but as far as I recall, most of the pedals boards on the organs (and pedal harpsichords) that JS, WF, and CPE Bach actually played were long like the modern ones. The plain fact of the matter is, there’s no set way (technically speaking) of…[Read more]

I JUST finished chapter eight, with one more, plus an appendix, to go, and I THINK maybe, just MAYBE, I managed to pull this whole “philosophical angle” off, even when discussing nuts and bolts… or in this case, frequencies and modulation.

Resonating cavities?

Good guess…

Now we know why we need WiFi in space. But so soon? Amazing!

So when are they going to “officially” retire those chemical rockets??
-
maybe they’ll pretend to use rockets the way they pretended to use them on the moon missions.

Dr. Farrell, do you forsee this writing project requiring a second book on the subject matter? or will this one be adequate in length to do the job as a single volume?
-
I have no idea.

Writing projects almost seem to have a life of their own sometimes. :]

Well, I’ve begun the final two chapters of this book, which like the first few, have to be written simultaneously to make sure they “fit’ well enough… this whole process has been different than my normal writing method, and slowed down by the additional fact that I’m trying very hard not to repeat data others have cited, or the framework from…[Read more]

Hooray! Sounds tricky, like a picture puzzle with pieces that have to fit together just right to make the subject appear properly . . . still not a clue inspite of the many hints scattered here and there.

Anybody else smell “footnote” here. Well looks like we might get it before the holiday season. I also wonder if Shiloh will get a mention on the acknowledgement page, she must have been some sort of help.
-
Many footnotes, and lots of paring to keep the page count relatively low for self-publishing, to keep the cost low to the reader. Plus I’m trying to avoid certain oft repeated areas in the topic, and concentrate on the philosophical angles… so yes, I’m hoping to have it done soon.

“At the end of the Obama administration, 57 percent of Germans expressed a positive view of America in a Pew poll. That figure dropped to 35 percent in the first year of the Trump administration. A recent poll reveals that Germans see Putin’s Russia as more trustworthy than the United States.

Interesting! I read the whole thing, I read that the tapes had information regarding not just temperature readings but also seisomometers and gravimeters. I was SO hoping they might mention TOMOGRAPHY.

Hello Sydney,
Glad you enjoyed the reading. Just because the data you are curious about wasn’t mentioned doesn’t necessarily mean that data wasn’t gathered either with this collection or separately. Following up sometimes brings even more interesting information. Cheers!

Well…save the congratulations until after reading the book… I’m taking a horrible chance on the way I’ve approached this topic.
Eh is this book coming out of Adventures Unlimited ?????
I’m definitely going to try the self-publishing route first. If the formatting turns out ok that way, I’m going to go with that.
Please make it available on Kindle if possible.
Hooray! Congratulations are in order for its completion! We are looking forward to reading it Dr Farrell 🙂 Then we will congratulate you again 😉
