Hello Dana,
I think that he only wished to provide a quick and dirty example of symbiosis. I think your question though
quite a good one. Licklider’s example is not a comforting one. Neither the tree nor the insect is aware (as best we know) that factors external to their relationship could cause the loss or degradation of the other. The loss…[Read more]

Correlation and causality are two different things.

Yes, but the human voice should not try to mimic a musical instrument, IMO.
I never liked Opera, no matter how highly others thought of Opera. I still hate it.
In addition, music is supposed to be a universal language. — not some kind of aid in singing.
The moment you introduce voice/language, you are making music into a tribal thing IMO.
But…[Read more]-

It seems to me we have once again the root Ye – as in Ya-hweh…also in the Meso-American the root Ia – as in Iaotl, or aka Tezcatlipoca, which was one of the devils that instituted human sacrifice, just like Moloc with massive children sacrifices esp in Phoenicia. This character Iaotl or Tezcatlipoca is very interesting…reminds me of the…[Read more]

They may be re-branding but I am unsure what the point is. Harry has moved way down the totem pole now. I don’t think Prince Harry is Prince Charles’s son. I think he is Princess Diana’s and James Hewitt’s son, and that is another reason the Queen was able to allow this marriage to proceed. Since he can never be King, a marriage to a black woman doesn’t matter. What matters most nowadays is the message they’re sending out about modernising the…[Read more]

Haha. Yes the topic is interesting but KC is so ill-treated as an interviewer – she can’t remember the names of his books and she comes across as quite antagonistic. She is clearly trying to drive the discussion in her own direction.
Just finished. KC made a complete fool out of herself. Couldn’t remember names of books, articles, people. She got so defensive regarding the alien stuff and she kept trying to lead Walter to her clearly biased views. That was painful.
