    My husband says he got rid of it by going into the Updates Settings, via the Control Panel and changed some default settings. Nothing a lay person couldn’t do, although, it’s been many years since I’ve used anything Microsoft, so I can’t tell you exactly how to do it.     • Thanks for the suggestion Jean. I think that did the trick. I went to ‘control panel’, then ‘System and Security’, then ‘Windows Update’ and I unchecked the ‘Update windows products’. That seems to do the trick.
