Asking for an explanation is the contemporary equivalent of a peon requesting an audience with his Master; he(He) may or may not, according to his(His) whim, grant the request. If he(He) does, it does not in any way imply you have any significant control over his(His) actions. In fact, your petition reinforces the notion that he(He) *is* your Master.

One thing China gets right is their ( seeming ) willingness to exert power over the billionaire class ( precisely the opposite in the west ).
