Ok.. I’m interested.. Does anyone know what this thing is actually seeing?

Yes.. it would appear that these strange rays of beams.. are either.. Microwave communication bursts.. Microwaves are used to communicate with satelittes as they pass sttraight through the ionosphere, whereas radio waves are refracted by the ionosphere. see radar.
In which case.. Who is communicating from Hawaii and recently Antarctica to geo…[Read more]

A very nice analysis of possibilities for “Sunspot”… but how does that correlate to other 5 observatories internationally? I guess I kept expecting at least one guess for its inclusion in the entire group… even if they are all slated for “phasing out”. Why now and all at once?

Anyone have a bead on this story? RT has written about it too. Not a lot of information being given out, but seems the staff at the observatory, as well as the local Post Office employees have been “evacuated.”

If you Google Earth the location and connect a few dots, it appears that all the houses and the post office have been “evacuated.” My guess, is that the Observatory, doesn’t only function as Solar observatory, and the post office provides cover employment for the additional personnel.…[Read more]

Tidbit for Strayans (from Twitter):
How very odd. The Twitter account of Australian cartoonist Mark Knight @knightcartoons has disappeared amid a social media firestorm unleashed after he satirised meltdown-prone tennis star Serena Williams. Could his worthy newspaper @theheraldsun shed light on this? #censorship-
LOL Dana @ “Strayans” .. I LOVE it !! .. Yes .. I heard about this this morning .. Typical ..
The yans have strayed big time .. One dare not “sh!t can” a sporting idol ..
EVERYTHING is under assault here .. “Strayah” .. the lucky country .. We keep getting luckier and luckier .. Just ask Mark Knight .. 🙁-

LOL Dana .. Thanks for the link .. I had no idea it was an official word ..
80% of the nation says it and it drives me nutz .. It reminds me of “Baby Bush” struggling to say the word nukeela .. (nuclear) .. It’s just lazy and stupid ..-

Folks, I’ve had to revise the vidchat schedule somewhat this month, so please keep checking that regularly. The reason is, of course, that the organ (supposedly) is finally nearing completion and a delivery date, but this has not been finalized, so the schedule may jump around a bit. I apologize and thank everyone for your patience.

No problem Joseph . . . after all this time! Even this close prospect is exciting! I hope Shiloh copes well. BTW, I got a big laugh imagining you throwing squeeky toys around the living room for her.
-
I have been concerned about Shiloh with so many strangers… I am going to have to put her in the bathroom I think, and take her outside from time to time. As for toys, she still doesn’t know how to play, but she is at least barking now. Slowly but surely we’re overcoming whatever abuse she suffered.
-
I’m sure she will respond to your patient love. I’ve been watching so many pet videos lately of successful recoveries from past abuse. Peaceful thoughts to you and Shiloh.
-
She’s come a LONG way, believe me, since I first brought her home three months ago. She’s very sweet and very smart and talkative. Much more so than when she first got her. She’s even gradually warming up to the neighbor lady.
-
That’s a good sign 😉 FYI: Classical Tunes selection for today: Zelenka Melodrama De Sancto Wenceslao Zwv 175 | Opera Oratorio Melodrama Classical Music HD https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ImFEzIXsBMg

Say, I wonder if Shiloh will sing along with Joseph’s playing, as dogs are wont to do… A friend’s pet boxer softly howls out a harmony every time he plays harmonica or sings. That would be the sweetest thing ever!

Start with Babylon’s Banksters. 🙂

If the teachers are worried she can always say that it is a “baby banking” manual which sounds more innocuous.

Ihave to contend with her parents. What I did do is give my grandson Rules for Argument. I’m advising develop an argument for alternative points of view as an intellectual exercise. My granddaughter will take a debate class this year. That should help.

Debate class? There are a few books around on how to argue a case and to detect and counter false arguments (such as when people, instead of replying on what you say, reply with personal labelling (e.g. “if you say that it means that you are a…”)

Struggling with discipline. I want to read Babylon’s Banksters and Mind and Medium, however I am reading the books in order. Sigh. I’m just finishing The SS Brotherhood of the Bell. 😊

Here’s a compromise: read several books at the same time including B.B. !

Yes, reading several books simultaneously is an excellent strategy for acquiring the skill of “connecting the dots” by osmosis. 🙂

Ditto. I’m reading Wall St &FDR, War and Society in Renaissance History and The South China Sea at the moment.

My granddaughter asked me if I had any ‘informational’ books she could read for school. I figured out, she meant non-fiction. Needless to say, I registered my objections to the term. It’s not easy helping our children/grandchildren navigate these times.

Another resource or two to recommend … S. Morris Engel’s – With Good Reason. The earlier editions can be found very reasonably on Addall.com. After one studies the Engel book it is truly startling to see how many of these fallacies are out there in “our everydayness” (Walker Percy’s term for the background of assumptions within which we operate and that we unknowingly absorb osmotically not from the original clear Aether but instead from its unclear replacement) in what we read and…[Read more]

Well, it’s three months now since little Shiloh adopted me, and she says I’m doing much better about interpreting her whines, so she has moved on to barking and teaching me what each one means. This is a good sign that I’m settling in, she says, because she hadn’t barked for the first month and a half in order not to confuse me. She also reports…[Read more]

I’ve had Beauregard a year now. He was a 5 month old rescue when I got him. If I’m reading he settles down nicely for half an hr. He gives me a short mmn ending on a higher note. So the presence of this “communications” base may be the reason why Stray Yah is weak, i.e. the political class is made to toe the line more than elsewhere.

Exactly, Dana. What is truly amazing, however, is how incredibly ignorant the general Stray Yah population is regarding Pine Gap. We queried a guy who had spent quite a bit of time in their military, knew about Pine Gap, but did not have any idea as to what was really going on there. Just a US base as far as he was concerned.
