Outside of the stupid, I’d like to share a hollow and sad place…. Shriekback…. Evaporation….. Unless you know the name of this “song” it is hard to find…. Outside of the arrangement, look below, and see the tale of its inspiration. I find it comforting yet sad…. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MjEWjrwjiT0&ab_channel=Tinhuviel

What once seemed like life, is similar to paint dripping down the canvass, in no form or shape. A sadness.-
… oh, you mean like modern art? like possibly Study after Velázquez’s Portrait of Pope Innocent X by Francis Bacon (1953).
for a possible visualization of our most recent unpleasantness see Dali’s Morphological Echo

Hmm… Dali’s melting watches were at least discernible as watches, as the table in this painting is discernible as a table. Today’s human society is nearly indiscernible as human. Postmodern paint splashing and Pollock–now there’s your analogy.

Dali was certainly a master of his craft, Picasso, too. Both may have slipped into a state of creative psychosis but at least both could actually paint. I think a better analogy takes it even further… https://www.tate.org.uk/art/artworks/duchamp-fountain-t07573

Re: Pollock. For the corpus, or is that more plainly the corpse of modern art, we may offer our heartfelt thanks to our betters at the See/Aye/Eh for their comprehensive efforts at the business of “Culture Creation”. Under the rubric of the Cold War our betters were determined to show what “an open society” really looked like via its emphasi…

As terrifying as Bacon’s painting is, I think he captures quite well the essence of what fills that seat.

I agree. This is a difficult battle, but better than bullets. I’ve been fighting on this front for 30 years. Just one on one as I move through life. I really cannot say how many I have come across in my years, but the number is significant. To what effect? Little, yet the seeds were sown. In that which is and that which might be, my…[Read more] -

Yeah I just received my second letter yesterday saying that my CDL “privileges” had been suspended for not renewing my physical. When I cancelled my appointment for the physical, I said wow, I don’t get to make a living anymore, because I am not wearing your mask, she said, “Oh, Okay!” Absolutely no sympathy anymore. A doctor’s office,…[Read more]-

The oboe is a rarely acknowledged instrument, at least in my journey. As one who has played a woodwind, I have always enjoyed its sound. -

When I moved out to where I live 20 years ago, I complained to a relative who was trying to get me to join his church, that I was alone and that it was a sadness for me to have no community outside of a religion or a bar, of which I desire neither. It is a perversion that people within a community cannot gather unless some institutionalized…[Read more]-
Thank you Ken. I am at peace with myself; it took a long time but I finally got there a few years ago. I am glad you have found peace too.
I guess what I miss most about socializing in person is the energy (the good kind 🙂 ) and gatherings with shared food and music. Those events tended to be fun and uplifting (even if I didn’t stay long).

Kind of makes you want to stash some cash under thee ole mattress. And as FiatLux says, it is starting to be the norm. Brokerage outages started I think it was October and have become a bit more frequent, and other sorts of outages. All temporary but makes you wonder if like rolling blackouts, will the internet become this way? Only…[Read more] -

Today the FDA came out and said it’s safe for Emergency Use Authorization(EUA). Although there is nothing on the FDA’s website about it. Also remember they authorized the use of Pfizer and Moderna under the EUA. So trusting the FDA is like trusting a rattlesnake to bite you if you put your hand in front of it. Here is a secondary site…[Read more] -

Here is the NIH page for that vaccine. There are no results from testing yet and the last update is 02/18/2021. They did stop the phase III of the trial back in Sept due to an adverse reaction but couldn’t find out what it is. I guess its resuming? This page lists the parameters of the trial and classifications and again no…[Read more]-

What has me scratching my head is this…. Why would anybody, knowingly inject a poison into the body? It doesn’t make sense to me. Sorry that doesn’t answer your question, I’ve read about it but don’t recall where. If I find it again I’ll post it. - Load More
