For persistent dry cough, essential oil of oregano is excellent: a couple of drops in a glass of water, then gargle. In case of catarrh, add a couple of drops of essential oil of mint. PS when engaging in intellectual work placing a little mint oil on cotton etc. near the work place does wonders.

Such articles are extremely exaggerated. Noone roams the streets with rifles.
