I’ve tried to post a reply here concerning giants and ancient flooding twice. For some reason, the system keeps telling me that I have ‘posted an inappropriate word’ (perhaps an innate bias in the software against any form of catastrophism? :). I can’t find anywhere obvious to get technical support: advice please!

…….. and they are ignorant and disdainful of those of us who live in the North and our country. The parameters of multiculturalism are set by those in power. Our distinct culture is not recognised by southern-based elites, therefore it doesn’t exist in elite-controlled media, such as the BBC. When will people in this country recognise that…[Read more]

I agree with you. A practical template for what you suggest might be to apply grammar, logic and rhetoric to many of the statements that are used with abandon these days in the mainstream media.

To Justawhoaman – I am certainly in agreement with you, if I am understanding your comments correctly, in that Hedges comes across as somewhat self-righteous. That aside, I am curious as to the source of the frustration that you mention. (I find it difficult to communicate in forums such as these without the ability to see body language, hear…[Read more]

I have mixed feelings on this too. He certainly makes a good point about Durkheim and anomie – we can see the lack of any morality derived from the Transcendent everywhere in the West these days , but I think there’s a deep-seated contradiction in his thinking too. On the one hand he espouses the need – and potency – of mass political action in…[Read more]

I must admit that I have mixed feelings, not only about Hedges, but about most of what I read and hear. To hold practical fallibilism is as it should be. Dr. Farrell often talks about owning the culture. What actions can we actually take toward doing so? In a discussion between CAF and JPF they suggested that we might take it upon ourselves…[Read more]

I think you’re right about Zisudra. The real issue for me centres on which great flood a particlar ancient text or tradition describes, for there are many from around the world. My research had led me to the view that many traditions, for example in South America, may go back to the cataclysms at the end of the last Ice Age (11,000 BCE & 9,500…[Read more]

We may have to start a thread about this in the forum so as to keep the topic current and we dont lose it down the memory hole.. (aka Kahlypso posting headlines like a madman and making the older conversations disappear into the next page :))

Around the world floods…
The Sumerian myth of Ziusudra tells how the god Enki warns Ziusudra, king of Shuruppak, of the gods’ decision to destroy mankind in a flood.
The Hindu version of Noah is named Manu. He is warned by an incarnation of Vishnu of the impending Great Flood, enabling him to build a boat and survive to repopulate the…[Read more]

You echo my sentiments entirely. Britain – or rather the the clique of elite groups that runs Britain – is the very epitome of hypocrisy (AKA hypocracy). I’m busy getting my house ready for the winter, because I’m escaping to South America for a few months. I go there every year, but I’m considering making it a permanent move. The news that the…[Read more]

It used to be .. Keep a stiff upper lip and carry on we have a world to conquer… Nowadays its “combatting heteronormative culture” from the same people who brought us Jimmy Saville, who buried the Westminster pedophile dossier, from the same guy who went to american papers and denonced Pizzagate as false.. My comment may be at a tangent to the article, but I was especially interested in what was stated the first paragraph, concerning the ‘traditional cultures of the UK’. The North of England, where I happen live, is almost entirely excluded from the London-centric ambit of the BBC. Oh for the return of the Danelaw!

Interesting, although I do wonder how even such a brief history of Germany cannot mention Bismarck, without whom there would probably never have been a country called ‘Germany’. Even today, there remain significant linguistic and cultural differences between peoples from the various principalities, kingdoms and electorates that united during the…[Read more]

The BBC, true to form, made this its principal story on Radio 4 this morning. In doing so, it implied that the recent long hot summer in Britain was a conssequence of anthropocentric global warming. Somehow, it conveniently forgot to mention the extremely cold winter that immediately preceded it.

Personally, I think the British establishment’s penchant for paedophilia was probably initiated by William of Orange, when he acceded (i.e. usurped) to the throne in 1688. It’s no coincidence either that he was responsible for the establishment of fractional reserve banking and the Bank of England here, either. Incidentally, have you come across…[Read more]
