I actually had a little foray into AI back in the 1980s using stochastic gradient algorithms for learning and adaptation (which the author mentions in his article) when digital signal processors were just being commercialized, for use in high-speed modems (at the time).

yes, that’s going to make it interesting, but I wonder why this needs to be done under the aegis of AI ? Surely not because it’s faster and more efficient. I suspect then plan is to search for something specific by the pretence of innovation.

I think the English word “girl” comes from the German word “Kerl”, meaning a young ruffian. And I think there was a time when the term “girl” was applied to young boys. Who knows ?!
