Here’s an idea…. what if this Facebook drama is a ‘clever’ social engineering plan? 1. get people to “tie” their identity to Facebook and other social media platforms and then 2. set about publically destroying those platforms, thus 3. further undermining people’s sense of identity and any social bonds formed there.

The articles I’ve read that discuss trade balance and China’s steel industry show that the portion of China’s steel output that is exported to the US is really rather small compared to their overall production. Perhaps there is some kind of tit for tat agreement going where they will choose an equally “small” US export to China for “retaliatory tariffs”?
