You’re doing it all wrong, mate. If I may invoke the “Antipodean Turn”, you START with the rum, then write some like a morphogenetic demon for 3 hours, then forget to save and thus can approach the light of real understanding…

    • Im just not Ozzie enough to drink a whole bottle of rhum BEFORE going to work 🙂 I was being inspired by the opening chapters of Monster Genes and Hoomans by the good Doc.. universal measuring systems..antiquity.. lost civilisations.. glug glug glug..

  • An interesting read.
Allow me to recommend an e-book available for download or online reading which will provide you with additional information and scientifically supported evidence for your “climate change” repertoire. It addresses the cyclic nature of glaciation which occurs on the Earth in 100,000 +/- year cycles. His approach to his theory…[Read more]

It is good to hear Mr Tucker’s argued optimism regarding new developments (not dissimilar from the C.A. Fitts approach). James play’s the devil’s advocate here, but he does tend towards pessimism as do a number of well-known researchers on the topic of the war being waged against humanity. And Dr. Farrell? I would hazard a guess that he might be…[Read more]

Faced with ships that might be being hacked, US Navy plans to use eminently hackable Microsoft Xbox in their periscope system. At least they’re cheap. They say it’s because it’s easier to train their sailors on it. Life in the Navy = Video game.

My copy of Hess And The Penguins was in the letterbox when I came home from work last night. I went to a friends’ house for dinner and to play his Playboy pinball machine (newly acquired, an addition to Black Knight) and started reading in bed when I got home. But I fell asleep around page 12. Which says more about how tired I was rather than the…[Read more]
