And the final movement of “it”, as my Oxford friends and I nicknamed this piece. Wq 23, III… this is one of the movements of Wq 23 I analyzed in Thrice Great Hermetica and the Janus Age. It’s composed around two, and only two, motifs, a falling octave (with all possible permutations), and a falling sequential three-note motif, f-e-d. Then a look…[Read more]

The problem with CPE is most folks are NOT aware that his output is in two tracks: “Gebrauchmusik”, i.e., “necessity music,” composed for popular tastes, and then the music which, by his own statement, he composed “for himself and in full freedom.” Among these are many, but not all, of the sonatas, trios, and so on, but MOST of the early…[Read more]

CPE played as accompanyist on the harpsichord with Friederich der Grosse, one can imagine them strolling in the garden at the Sanssouci in Potsdam…

Actually, they did not get along very well…

I just bought this old paperback by Robert A, Heinlein, Rocket Ship Galileo, which I read half a century ago.

I’m digging up from shelves / repurchasing those old sci-fi books too.

Ever since those early days, there has been a lot of “new age” reinterpretation of visits from the breakaway civilization. Joseph Farrell seems to be taking us back to reality.

Downunder, Al told me that he’s in the middle of a very important move, and that things will be back up eventually. He indicated to me he’ll make some sort of announcement. That’s all I know.

Thanks Joseph for the heads up, one wonders if Al is moving house or country.

Artificial Intelligence Is Cracking Open the Vatican’s Secret Archives
A new project untangles the handwritten texts in one of the world’s largest historical collections.

It will be a sad day in hell (sorry about the pun) when the Vatican will make public ANYTHING in that den of vipers.

Governor Jesse is pissed I like this guy. The infrastructure lost during Hurricane Maria is fixable, what is not fixable are the human lives that are being lost. A lot of info in this series have pen and paper at hand. Though he sometimes gets a little carried away such as (knowingly of course) mentioning “Chapter X” in a book where the X is Roman numeral ten.
-
Is it the only chapter in the book distinguished by Roman numeral?
-
He only displayed that picture of the book but when it was published Roman numerals were always used in chapter headings.

I think the English word “girl” comes from the German word “Kerl”, meaning a young ruffian. And I think there was a time when the term “girl” was applied to young boys. Who knows ?!

Part of me likes this, but a greater part of me wishes nothing had ever been touched near those little cascades. Question … do Indigenous Americans in Sioux Falls own mansions like this one in the video?
-
There used to be one mansion owned by a SIOUX who became rich in smuggling goods, but when he was arrested by the DEA, his mansion was taken over by the bank. Being the savvy businessman that we know, and the extensive knowledge of Bohrmann-style investing learned from the books, Dr. Farrell made a bid on the mansion for $190,00 ( 6-bedroom…[Read more]
