Aptly put, that IS the problem I’m having, not WHAT to write, nor even how, but how to GROUND it, so to speak.

  • blakecosmos posted a new activity comment 7 years, 11 months ago

I vote for the “lengthy tome” option!

Downunder, Al told me that he’s in the middle of a very important move, and that things will be back up eventually. He indicated to me he’ll make some sort of announcement. That’s all I know.

  • Higherside Chats with Tobias Churton | Crowley In America: Art, Espionage & Sex Magic . . . world authority on Gnostic spirituality, Rosicrucianism, Freemasonry, and other esoteric movements. (I haven’t listened yet, but found him difficult to follow in his interview with Al on Forum Borealis.) . . . https://www.thehighersidechats.com/tobias-churto…[Read more]

    • Another renaissance man … interesting perspective

      • Margaret , trust your instincts , he is difficult to follow , because he is full of it. I listened and I’m a plus member and what little I know of Crowley wasn’t even addressed in this podcast. Why Greg is so high on it one can only guess…

        • Yiannis, in discussing and writing about Crowley the fact that Churton doesn’t mention a formally explicit calculus which is buried in Crowley’s hermetic view doesn’t mean that he (Churton) is saying nothing of value.

          • Cut to the chase – calculate what? That this guy is full of it? I would have given maybe credit for the time wasted listening. If he talked about why Barbara bush looks like Crowley or his Intel connections.Since Gardner was British and died in 1964, you may wonder why we see these references in US events in 1979 and 1996. Two main reasons: one,…[Read more]

            • It’s interesting that Crowley’s influence ( for good or ill) is, as Churton so sagely observes, highly non-linear and at times inexplicable. If we think of Gardner, Parsons, McMurtry, Wasserman et alia as lower order derivatives of the Crowleyean Hyper-set then we can’t ascribe all and every permutation to the imprecise character of the original.…[Read more]

            • It was the part of the interview where he is dismissive on remote viewing. That coupled with the complete white wash of a large part of his -Crowleys cadre of followers . For someone to go into writing 20 plus books it was rather narrow optics of the self proclaimed beast. But I do get that he was trying to stress other facets , but articulate a…[Read more]

          • Yes, excellent word – strident. I was strident- I don’t know , it was my lower mind demons 😳I couldn’t stop! The Crowley made me. 🤦‍♂️Thanks for the review bazzie. 👍

Whoo Hoo! Made the long flight to Sydney in order to see the many sights in Australia that I have been wanting to see for most of my life. Will be in Uluru with CAF so if there are other Gizers who plan to be there, looking forward to a “g’day mate”.

    • I think you will enjoy your trip to Oz. CAF seems to like it here as she has been here many times.
Uluru is the aboriginal name for Ayres Rock, your not going to believe how big it is.
There is a funny story about Uluru, when an American fellow got off the tourist bus and said how good the rock looked at sunset when it changes color. The tourist…[Read more]

    • Sounds like you’ll have a lot of fun. I’ve always wanted to see Ayers Rock!

    • We expect a report on your experiences when you get back!

      • You can count on it. (I would say more but apparently talking about birds and no wonder CAF likes it here seems to have inappropriate words attached.)

Good interview of William Engdhal with Guns and Butter on the Rape of Russia and Poland:

    • National Endowment for Democracy, sounds interesting in my German rendering: Reichsvolkischerfoerderungamt (“Volkisch” is nazispeak for promotion of the “master race” – not much different from the Soros et al. view of democracy).

    • I like F. William Engdahl’s books, thanks for the link!

Thanks everyone for the well-wishes/prayers &c. This stuff, whatever it is, is very very nasty and I don’t think I’ve ever slept so much in one week and accomplished so little. I feel like I may be on the other side of the worst of it, for the hard cough has finally broken, but I am dog tired and weak.

    • Good news! Continue to rest and go slow . . . your body will let you know when it’s ready to get back into action.

    • Cara replied 8 years ago

Glad you are on the mend. I’ll keep sending my prayers.

Glad you are recovering Dr. Farrell; I’m visualizing garlic….

      • For persistent dry cough, essential oil of oregano is excellent: a couple of drops in a glass of water, then gargle. In case of catarrh, add a couple of drops of essential oil of mint. PS when engaging in intellectual work placing a little mint oil on cotton etc. near the work place does wonders.

    • Curt replied 8 years ago

Be well, Dr. Farrell. And please think about packing in the cigs.

    • Good to hear !!!we all will be here when you’re mended 👍continue to rest and take your vitamin c 😁

Again folks my apologies… I’m feeling awful even after having slept for a long long time, so I’m just letting everyone know there will probably NOT be a News and Views tomorrow.

    • Baz replied 8 years ago

Does this mean Pyramid Haiku #26 will also be delayed ? 🙂

    • no need to apologise Dr Farrell. Rest and relax. Don’t worry about time. It’s an illusion 🙂

    • No worries. Praying you get well soon.

There is speculation that there may be some special property in the oil deposits themselves going beyond merely burning it in our crude combustion engines (the ancient “gods” apparently rubbed it on themselves…).
