By my calendar, today is Dr. Farrell’s birthday! – Joseph, you have survived another year on the planet with all the attendant twists and turns that have been thrown at us. It may not have been pretty, but it still gets chalked up in the “Win” category. As the next year starts, I wish you the best at outlasting and outsmarting them again. Know…[Read more]

This is vaguely reminiscent (albeit escalated considerably) of the CIA-NSA gunbattle in NYC which occurred outside of another similar AT&T building in 2017. This war is getting hotter and more complex. -

I must confess a twinge, based on nothing but hope-porn when I read that Briben slipped while playing with his dog (Major) and fractured his ankle necessitating a boot. What a great way to cover an ankle monitor bracelet…. if only…

If I remember correctly (and that’s getting tougher) today is Dr. Farrell’s birthday. Best wishes for a great day, Joseph. I don’t get to hang out here enough but I am grateful for what you the Gizars create. You provide a mentally challenging environment for those of us attempting to discern the world around us. Thank you.

That’s what I love about this site. I was not familiar with Johann Ludwig Krebs – I was grateful to remember Maynard G. Krebs. Seriously though, Thank you for the post Dr. Farrell.

Hi Tim,
Doing fine here, though digging out of a freak March snowstorm. I have my car up on jackstands trying to pull the motor when the weather breaks – its a smallblock Ford stroker (347 cid) with what I believe to be a bad rod bearing. The car is actually a 1966 Shelby Mustang (GT-350) which gave it a slightly different grill treatment than…[Read more] -

@tim-h OMG, I went to post a comment and saw that you posted something to me a few days back. Apologies, I had not seen it. At any rate, yes, that is me in Egypt. Sandy and I went in March. The place is an armed camp yet very civil. The military went with us on all the tours but I got to crawl through the Pyramids and many, many of the historical…[Read more]

Gday James, your Egypt trip sounded fascinating, what an experience it must have been crawling through the Pyramids. I don’t suppose you took a level or a square tool with you, ala Chris Dunn? I’m sure it was awe-inspiring just to be there! I hope you have no problems with your hip replacement. Good luck with your winter project. I’m still doing…[Read more]
