Puerto Rico got destroyed it needs to be rebuild from scratch. I don’t think the United States has the money for reconstruction.
Long term decisions have to be made. These category 5 hurricanes are the new reality. Construction has to be done differently and the electrical and communication grid has to go underground. We can’t have buildings…[Read more]

What to make of this? Very odd considering ALL the world’s events. The poem is called “Mandalay”.
http://www.atimes.com/article/come-back-english-soldier-uks-top-diplomat-recites-myanmar/-
Ha ! I was reading that poem last night. What the heck ?
-
This Guardian article (https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2017/sep/30/boris-johnson-caught-on-camera-reciting-kipling-in-myanmar-temple)
says he recited it in January. Strangely coincidental how they “resurrected” the news to coincide with current events. Guardian article from 30 September.

Boris Johnson.. England’s ‘Top Diplomat’….. Oh .. how the mighty have fallen.. (by that I mean the English people..)
It’s like sending a butcher to mind the sheep.. What is it about blustering platinum fools getting into positions of power around the world at the moment?-
I remember seeing a television programme some years ago in which Boris traced his ancestry back to some Hohenzollern (?) royal person.
-
-
He is very clever (you have to be clever to become Mayor of London) and uses the mask of a buffoon…
-
Hey Dana, that clever that he slips up and starts absent mindely reciting On the Road to Mandalay, that resort in Las Vegas, isnt it called Mandalay Beach or something like that?
The man is a buffoon. An opportunistic idiot who’s eyes are FAR bigger than his testi..monials.. He’s certainly a ‘useful fool’ who was used as a pivot point to push Brexit.

So when the World Bank gets in on the North Korea drama is it to “fan the flames” or “shift the conversation” or “predictively programme”? Or simply: “we can’t see a way to make money from this”
https://asia.nikkei.com/Politics-Economy/Economy/World-Bank-warns-of-serious-economic-consequences-if-North-Korea-dispute-escalates-
Who.. at the World Bank.. wrote this? I mean.. Its not as if banks around the world have taken actions in steering geo political events for their benefit.. Usually its sending a country into war.. as war bonds and governement loans make them a lot of money.. What do they care if economy is disrupted by massive loss of human life?? The US technology industry focus may be shifting towards hardware…. example: Apple. This is interesting because much of the media noise is about the user interface and software driven world, when behind the curtain the money is going to hardware.
https://asia.nikkei.com/Business/Companies/Apple-A-semiconductor-superpower-in-the-making-
Hey Cara.. hardware in IT is going yo disappear. All computers are going to become virtual machines in the cloud. Users will have ftont end clients and access ppints. All the data and processing power will be elsewhere.. accessef by “clients”..mark my words.
-
Well, perhaps user hardware will become more “locked down” but the cloud on the backend with all its data as well as the network for delivery of the content to the user will still need hardware and lots of it
-
delivery network will ‘eventually’ by quantique and the hardware infra will be unnessary 🙂 but thbats not for this decade

US should have some kind of civillian rescue and emergency unit, for this kind of events. The army is killing machine, not a helping machine. It´s not very good for rescue missions.
-
The army can build a city in the middle of a desert. They are here to reestablish vital communications and power to key areas. Plus is a great exercise to these troops. Wish I were a drill Sargent during this hurricane. Put this people opening roads to help people.
