Okay, I’ve been peering and squinting and I reckon it’s a Charger !?

    • 1969 Plymouth Barracuda, running the killer 340, 650 spread-bore Holley, 2 1/2″ stainless steel exhaust. Li’l Beastie is my pride and joy! Jeff has a ’68 Charger but I think he’s waiting on on a period-correct radiator. Still.

Carcosa is the next book on my ‘to read’ list . . . as soon as I’m finished with Shimmering Light, which I think has enough personal knowledge to justify some speculations 😉 Mr. B is working on a new (secret) project . . . we’re all wondering what it could be! He’d enjoy your comments Tim . . .

    • Thanks Margaret, Walter and I have just been discussing footnotes in Destination Carcosa. I think it’s turning out to be one of his best yet.

The Delonge project is finished. Even if we dont take into account his satanic tendencies and frequent allusions to in cest and ra pe (read the songs…. all of them. Think HeavyBreathing for teens..) It’s his own greed and constant stream of sycophantic verbal diaherea that flows from his mouth whenever he opens it, that betrayed him.

I finished the book over the weekend. Very fascinating and does raise some very unsettling questions.

Cara .. I have hand reared many varieties of fledglings and none come close to the owl .. Truly the “cats of the air” ..
Amazing creatures .. Beautiful animals ..

    • Sadly, I haven’t seen any owls here in Dubai but we used to get an occasional one visiting in Johannesburg – which of course set the local birds into a tizzy :-)… it was like the fare had come to town

      • I don’t know what to make of it, but I’m definitely one of the “maybe-people”. No conscious memories but lots of indications, like odd dreams, alienation/fear/depression for 25 yrs, obsession with certain things etc. Does anybody know any good hypnotist in the scandinavian region or at least northern europe? Just curious…

I just wanted to share this story. I read Mike Clellands book The Messengers, about owls, ufos and how they seem to be linked in a synchronistic way.

Halfway through the book I hear this weird noise outside the bedroom window in the middle of the night, like a rusty bicycle pump or something. A shrieking sound, varying in volume, that just went…[Read more]

    • So it might be that reading about owls set up some kind of attractor field and one came to hoot outside your window…. wow.

    • Have not read the book but have listened to his interviews

    • I read that book and it reminded me of my own owl encounter. Bit of an involved story, but what was strange was that the next day my neighbor told me that she had seen an owl perched on the roof of my car. Since then my car radio is forever detuning itself and blasting me with static.

    • Owls .. amazing creatures .. true “shape shifters” and Lords of the Night ..
      Link .. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1C-qnPdcBc0

      • I rather like owls actually; I’ve always thought their feather markings beautiful and I like the owls I have encountered in literature from a very early age (for example, Owl in Winnie the Pooh). I wonder at the animism that we project on / perceive in / inculcate in different creatures. It’s fascinating.

Parts 1+2 were awesome. I enjoyed them more after watching them in HD and 3 repeat viewings. I was wondering if there is possibly a comparison between Cooper’s fall out of the Black Lodge and the Descent of Man. The Dougie/Naomi Watts so far has been a bit of bore for me.

I’m about 80% through the book. It is interesting but not as groundbreaking as I had hoped. It need to re-read some parts where loads of seemingly disconnected things are connected. Really liked the opening and looked forward to the 2nd and 3rd volumes. This book would be good for someone not as well versed in the field. Much of it I know now…[Read more]

    • One thing that sort of bothers me is broadening the ‘definition’ of the phenomenon to include Sumerian gods, etc. Really not sure about that. Doesn’t jibe with the idea of UFO occupants ala Keel or Vallee. I’m a bit uncomfortable with that. I’ve finished the book, it sagged in the middle a little but ended fairly well. I agree it’s not as…[Read more]
