Have just received 2 books regarding previous episodes: “Autobiography of Emma Hardinge Britten” and “Radiance from Halcyon” by Paul Eli Ivey.
-
DJ roped me into making other book purchases re: X.
-
The Emma Britten stuff really drew me in. I had just finished a book by Charles Williams (Inkling and Rosicrucian) called Decent into Hell. In this story, playwright and poet Peter STANHOPE (Phillip Stanhope) mentors a young girl, Pauline Anstruther, who is afraid of meeting her double (guardian on the threshold) in the street. He teaches her…[Read more]

Sydney I highly recommend this book by a friend of mine:
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/369847.The_Theosophical_Enlightenment-
Thank you! “In the context of theosophical history, this book is neither on the side of the blind votaries of Madame Blavatsky, nor on that of her enemies. It may, therefore, be expected to mildly annoy both sides.” *** My boyfriend has expressed a strong distaste for Theosophy as we’ve watched the X-series, because it led to some rather horrid…[Read more]
-
With all its defects (in my view anyway) we could say is that over time, the theosophical movement resulted in the broaching to broader society of “esoteric” topics previously limited to scholars. For example, Blavatsky’s “Isis Unveiled” mostly consists of quotations from other authors, usually cited.
-
Godwin’s book gives a good historical and cultural perspective starting from Swedenborg in the late 18th cent. and this “theosophism”; Blavatsky came along later.
-
Personally I am not convinced that Blavatsky’s Theosophy can be blamed for the spread of late 19th and early 20th century politically-oriented racial ideas.

Byzantine manoeuvres in Rome. The office of the Italian president apparently makes a crude attempt to “frame” the incoming premier by giving journalists a text containing words he did not actually say, as can be seen by watching the recording of the statement being given live. Not unsurprisingly the words never said were to the effect that “Italy…[Read more]

Correlation and causality are two different things.

Yes, but the human voice should not try to mimic a musical instrument, IMO.
I never liked Opera, no matter how highly others thought of Opera. I still hate it.
In addition, music is supposed to be a universal language. — not some kind of aid in singing.
The moment you introduce voice/language, you are making music into a tribal thing IMO.
But…[Read more]-

On Wiggling Ears and Curling Tongues
https://www.koshland-science-museum.org/sites/default/files/uploaded-files/Inventory_of_Your_Traits.pdf-
I’ve got a parent employed by ORNL. When I first heard Dr. Farrell mention this theme in connection to ORNL’s research my alarm bells went off. I remember multiple times as a little girl my parent demonstrating they could wiggle their ears, and seeing if us kids could. I occasionally still wonder if this was purely coincidental. I still can’t…[Read more]

DJ puts great stock in what Steiner says and often seems to take it literally, but in my view, when Steiner “reveals” something, one should recall that in the Hermetic tradition, to “reveal” means to “re-veil”.
-
I thought something similar to this myself… I want to try to explain it, and I beg forgiveness because I often take too many words to express myself.
Basically I wondered to myself (after a 12 hour day X-series binge) “Does DJ’s Christian Esoteric beliefs and respect for Theosophy’s center harm his research or aid it?”
I sort of came to the…[Read more]-
Dr. Farrell has said more than once that there is an atheistic interpretation to the Top Metaphor. Think of the ascended masters as conduits of contextualized information; I don’t believe that they have much potency any more, but I think that Dark Journalist is understanding the transaction of unified intention.
-
That’s very helpful thank you!

I presume DJ will clarify his thought better when his book comes out, and in any case we can be grateful to him for “doing the groundwork” and making public so many research leads.

“Rapprochement with Russia is now a core policy objective in Berlin, according to a senior German official with knowledge of the chancellery’s strategy.”
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-05-17/trump-s-global-disruption-pushes-merkel-closer-to-putin-s-orbit-
One has to wonder, could this possibly have been a deliberate objective of Trump’s? Given the monumental establishment forces arrayed to stop any overt moves to make good on his promises for peaceful relations with Russia and a smaller military presence in the world, could his wildly unpredictable behaviors actually belie a kind of Byzantine…[Read more]

In say 2021, the Anglosphere oligarchs, as the balance between warmongers and pragmatists leans away from the former, we could see a “grand reconciliation” with Russia, with all the due theatrics (though the pragmatists, as long as they are just another emanation of the debt-creation system, will not in reality be very peace-loving either!).
-
To be sure, I’m not saying Trump is a peace-loving saviour. But with all the superficial and rather flimsy warmonger victories (hiring John Bolton, the anemic Syria strikes, et al.), the real long term victories appear to be going towards the pragmatists.
-
Remember, Trump tends to surround himself, in certain positions, with people with whom he does not always agree. Those people stay until they are no longer useful to Trump. Consider Tillerson at the State Dept. where he ‘cleaned-out’ some of the folks that were no longer welcome in Trump’s Administration, and eventually Tillerson was no longer needed.
