As long as Mecca & Jerusalem are around, you can bet the demiurge is still around the corner 😉 I am speaking metaphorically, of course. And the real problems are the ideas not the sacred temples or cities, but those cities are very symbolic of something not KOSHER to my taste, perhaps globalism under the aegis of some kind of satanic cult 😉 I am…[Read more]

As far as I am concerned (and I am not so concerned about JERUSALEM) Mecca should be nuked, but not to kill people or animals … unfortunately, a little plant and microbial life will perish, but nuking Mecca is a necessity (not its inhabitants). The site has to be made radioactive so that no one ever comes back to perform their satanic dance…[Read more]

Sound of Invisible Waters — by Deuter
This is when you really want to get away from it all, dive deep, and return to your “aquatic self.”
Plus composer is German, which I think should curry favor with the German establishment in Sioux Falls 😉 -

Enjoying my first Farrell book, The Third Way. I am also following DJ’s X series. Fascinating.

I just finished a 600 page monster in “The Invisible History of the Rosicrucians” by Tobias Churton, so a “thick” new book would not be a problem.
-
Now this DOES sound interesting ..
-
Found this novel by another Churton – or maybe the same author since the protagonist is called “Toby”!
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/15959439-the-babylon-gene-
That book is a novel, and Churton did write it.
-
-
That sounds like an interesting book. Was it any good?
-
Churton says that he believed Johann Valentin Andreae wrote the manefestos, but also says that there was a never a Rosicrucian society or breatheren. He says that Rosicrucianism was associated with Plato, Dee, Flood and all the usual suspects because of it’s message. There is a lot of religious “chat” in it and the book was a very big “Harveys…[Read more]

This is what bothers me about such books: the persistent attempt to ignore what contemporaries thought: MOST of them, Robert Fludd and Leibniz included, thought this group was real, yet, academic scholarship does not attempt to delve into why these very intelligent people thought this. It’s similar, in some respects, to the trend in academic…[Read more]

Higherside Chats with Tobias Churton | Crowley In America: Art, Espionage & Sex Magic . . . world authority on Gnostic spirituality, Rosicrucianism, Freemasonry, and other esoteric movements. (I haven’t listened yet, but found him difficult to follow in his interview with Al on Forum Borealis.) . . . https://www.thehighersidechats.com/tobias-churto…[Read more]

Another renaissance man … interesting perspective
-
Margaret , trust your instincts , he is difficult to follow , because he is full of it. I listened and I’m a plus member and what little I know of Crowley wasn’t even addressed in this podcast. Why Greg is so high on it one can only guess…
-
Yiannis, in discussing and writing about Crowley the fact that Churton doesn’t mention a formally explicit calculus which is buried in Crowley’s hermetic view doesn’t mean that he (Churton) is saying nothing of value.
-
Cut to the chase – calculate what? That this guy is full of it? I would have given maybe credit for the time wasted listening. If he talked about why Barbara bush looks like Crowley or his Intel connections.Since Gardner was British and died in 1964, you may wonder why we see these references in US events in 1979 and 1996. Two main reasons: one,…[Read more]

It’s interesting that Crowley’s influence ( for good or ill) is, as Churton so sagely observes, highly non-linear and at times inexplicable. If we think of Gardner, Parsons, McMurtry, Wasserman et alia as lower order derivatives of the Crowleyean Hyper-set then we can’t ascribe all and every permutation to the imprecise character of the original.…[Read more]

It was the part of the interview where he is dismissive on remote viewing. That coupled with the complete white wash of a large part of his -Crowleys cadre of followers . For someone to go into writing 20 plus books it was rather narrow optics of the self proclaimed beast. But I do get that he was trying to stress other facets , but articulate a…[Read more]

The little woodpecker that drills away at the trees around here is back! He’s unafraid and lets me get close to watch…. Beautiful little bird!
-
The woodpecker (Picus) figures in archaic Roman mythology. The handsome Picus was a son of Saturn (an association with the Golden Age) and was sought after by Nymphs and Naiads, whom he rejected. But after rejecting the sorceress Circe she turned him into a woodpecker out of pique. He is also associated with the archaic Roman Mars, a figure more…[Read more]

“Postmodernism melts down traditional religions, cultures and forms-of-life—and power takes over. Thus Postmodernism paves the way for Globalism, first by destroying any view which could rival it, and secondly by creating a level of chaos which calls for repressive measures—in the mistaken belief that Chaos is Freedom.” Charles Upton in his boo…[Read more]

aaahhhh… the GDS.. where you can go from Eurovision song contests to nuking Mecca in 3 comments.. you just cant buy better entertainment elsewhere..
Yeah, but I did not mean it as a joke. I really think Mecca (after its inhabitants are evacuated) should be nuked, for the good of mankind. I would do the same for Jerusalem, but since I am neither Jewish nor Christian nor Arab, I leave it up to those most affected by Jerusalem to decide what they want to do 😉
